$125 at the General Tire company store in the early 1960s. I worked at General Tire nights while attending college during the day. They took a few dollars each week out of my pay to cover this 4" Python and also a 6-1/2" Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum was $135. We can call these the good old days, however it is much easier to come up with the higher prices of the day then it was to come up with the money for the original prices
