The bison if wounded will run 50 miles a day and you will be required to follow up on it (which is normal) and then carry every part of the animal out, guts included. The bison herd is around 600 animals and they want to "remove" about half of them. A bison tag is about $1000, so why not sell over the counter tags and let the people keep the meat? That just makes sense to me. This way they have to jump thru so many hoops and abide by a lot of senseless rules it just doesn't make any sense.
