It was hard to read through the tears in my eyes

My Dad enlisted 8DEC '41 fought in ETO,didn't come Home til NOV'45...only thing he ever told me was about the only time he said he had a bayonet on his rifle was in DEC'44 outside Bastogne,his SGT. told him & his Buddies if we all die here we ain't leaving these holes...start diggin'
other than that the only thing he ever said when I asked ,was I'll tell you all someday when it won't affect you.
