with a hot load, it's flat rude. It's notable worse to me than a .475 Linebaugh. It must be a faster recoil or something, it's just mean. I'm past that at my current age, both mentally and physically. But it's cool to have around if you absolutely need the most from a .45 wheelgun that is of practical size.
Gary's .429 GNR running a 310 gr. at 1600 fps in my Super Redhawk does not bother me at all. That's about the same listed loading for the .454 Casull but in that format it's just flat bad. The lighter 250 gr. at closer to 2000 is even worse!
