gunsmith who perished when he ignited his large cashe of smokless powder in his shop. It's not explosive but boy is it flammable! Forget his name and I think it was in the 1950's.

My friend David had about a dozen sticks of some explosive that was in red wax paper. Perhaps 1" in diameter and maybe 10"-12" long. It was a yellow or orange hue and waxy looking out the ends where I could see. The ends of several sticks had about a 1/4" hole pushed in them a little ways. Several holes per end, some overlapping, like something was poked in there and later pulled out.

They were in a wooden crate in his reloading shed. He's gone now and I wondered where they went. Last I saw it was 30 yr. ago.
