place in the woods to do some shooting, and he produced a standard Contender with a .45-70 barrel, fired it, and asked if I wanted to try it, which I made the mistake of wanting to do. Felt like my hand was swatted with a baseball bat. I handed it back and he chortled and I knew I was in for a lot of ribbing to shoot it again. Luckily, his next shot had the front sight fly off the gun.
