Was first exposed to this kind of setup at the annual Linebaugh Big Bore Shoots. Very educational and most worthwhile. Lots of us really made a mess of it, especially at ultra-close ranges. It didn't matter how much normal hunting experience one had. Gary's had way more experience with such than most of us, hands-down, but I'd still recommend a refresher if he was willing. It is really something that needs regular practice to competently master.
