with the Lyman 310 tool and .45-70. Jim gifted me the hard to get #10 "adapter die", a metal ring that goes in the handles that keeps the case in line with the die. I tried it not using the adapter ring and found it is needed to prevent from busing the de-capping pins. Drats!

My best effort was the 512 gr. bullet ahead of 20.0 grs. of 4227 and a square of dacron blanket stuffing. I used Lg. rifle primers. Accuracy is good although my sights need adjusting. Velocity is 1025 fps and trajectory is very loopy. It was humorous how much impact it had on the steel plates, knocked them silly!

I need to swap to 300 gr. or so for economy and less trajectory.

Jim shooting the Sharps, love the picture.
