Dillon back in 1980. It was the Model 450 which I used a lot as I was big into combat shooting every weekend so I loaded just about every night. In practice I shot 200 rounds every afternoon, rain or shine. Later on I converted the 450 to a 550 and still have it today.

I was using my AMT Longslide and I have shot a bit over 72,000 rounds thru that gun and never had to change a broken part. My gunsmith at the time, Gary Case, built an extended slide release and extended safety lever as they didn't exist at that time (1979) and milled some tiny slots in the slide and larger ones in the barrel for recoil reduction plus dumped the bushing and soldered a cone on the barrel to help in accuracy.. The gun still wears the old funky Mustang finger groove grips that I put on it in '79 but they do help hold the gun in place in rapid firing on a combat range.
