we whelped out a beagle bitch. I'd go to our local meat cutter and get the "saw dust" from that bandsaw. We'd cook it up and mix it with her regular food, she never lost weight or ran out of milk feeding her pups. Bone, sinew, marrow and meat all mixed together - super food for a nursing mother.
