Killed deer just as dead as a 12 smooth bore did.
Have shot a bunch of turkeys with the 835. But also have good success with 2 3/4" remington duplex 4x6 loads. Longest shot was 55yds. out of a remington 11. Used that gun as a joke, went turkey hunting with the fellow that owns Dicks Sporting Goods. A friend that's a professional guide asked me to come along with them. Took along the plain old gun cause it had a scope. Knew right where it shot, son killed his first bird with it at 50 yds.. Hunting several different spots that morning. Called out the only tom of the day 15 minutes before noon. Tom stuck his head out to see who who sounded sexy. Guy was kinda bent over the 55 yd. shot. Couldn't believe it with what I was using. Didn't talk to me all the way back to the guides place.
