As a diehard Colt fan its a bit difficult

The complicated lock work in no way could withstand very much .41 Magnum abuse. It would last a while with mid-range 210 gr. loads but the real magnums would have the hand battered fast. That cylinder hand on a Colt does several functions and it is a small delicate part. The only thing holding that cylinder in at all is the shallow bolt that fits in the recess in the cylinder star. If there were ever a gun that could benefit from a forward locking set-up it's the Python. How the Anaconda ever worked I'll never know. I had one of the first ones that came NIB out of time. They fixed it but I was ruined on it.

I passed on a 6" .41 Magnum Python done by a real master. Even the block barrel lettering was matching and perfect. It was a 6" blue and $600. This was the early 1990's.
