the Ruger old model 3 screw Blackhawk. In most cases the strength of a revolver is in the cylinder. If a gun blows normally the cylinder goes first. The old model Ruger is strong, much stronger than the Colt SAA but it wouldn't handle 72,000 pounds of pressure before something gave. Ruger knew the ammo of the day was quickly outpacing the strength of the old model guns. The new model guns were considerably stronger than the old models, but nothing is idiot proof. Even the new models will blow if pushed too far. So if you are thinking of having a 454 built, only the new model will do and then with a new 5 shot cylinder and beefy barrel. And a little restraint upon reloading thrown in.
