you get a dovetail front sight (which I like) and rail. The rail can be a mild detraction for holsters and such if you don't use accessories. The newer 92X I coon-fingered felt really nice. I like the more straight grip angle. The sights are goofy though, a red dot front. But it can be swapped out. The M9A4 that I REALLY like has upgraded night sights and a threaded barrel. But it's pushing $1000.
Really, really hard for me to pay that much for a modern auto over some lovely old stag gripped blue wonder from a by-gone era.
