In plain sight, on a hanger over the stove, in my place in Alaska. First thing I always looked at, when I opened the door. Plus a few greenbacks on the counter in plain sight. second thing I looked at. Any sleezebag would pick up the cash and gun, if they broke in. Never lost anything, or had a break in, but it gave me piece of mind, not being there months on end.
I always laughed that if someone loaded that old shotgun, and fired it, it would probably blow up and simplify the situation.
