Incandescent bulbs are used for a lot more than just light
Friday, August 04, 2023, 18:51

Chicken brooders for raising baby chicks are set up to use incandescent bulbs for heat and an LED won't work. What are farmers supposed to do???
I use incandescent bulbs for heat to keep pipes from freezing when it gets really cold. I just hang a trouble light with a 60W bulb next to the pipe.
I've done the same thing with tractor engines... Put a trouble light with incandescent bulb on the engine and cover with a blanket to keep it warm enough to start.

No real alternative to incandescent as LED bulbs won't work for these type of things....

Government idiots who have never set foot on a farm!!!!
