Taking the dollar off the gold standard is just another example of how folks in high places can screw up a nation. I'm astounded at how bad inflation is in the US of A now. Not as bad as what we lived through in the Amazon Basin back in the 20th Century and not as bad as Venezuela or Argentina, not to mention Germany way back when, but there's nothing standing between the current economy and runaway hyper inflation as the folks in charge of the purse strings have no limits that constrain them. Any ceiling threatened is overcome by political machinations. This does not bode well for the future.

I'm a peaceful man and prefer the pursuit of peaceful sports. Those involving teams and balls of any sort tend to be deleterious to one's body and promote violence by both spectators and participants.
