What $1.00 could buy when I went in the Army in 1969 according to some of the latest info I’ve read.. Minimum wage was $1.30 an hour and based on inflation since 1969, should be about $10.80 an hour today. So not only has the government devalued our currency they have not kept up on minimum wage rates though Commiefornia has over reached with a $15/hr minimum wage.
