They must have had half a dozen different variations on the Police Positive and related frame size. Even later D frames have long and short grip variations, Cobras, Agents, Vipers, Det. Specials etc.
I like that Diamondback. Always wanted one in .38 and short barrel. Like Steve McQueen used in Bullitt. I had a 2.5" Python once but never even shot it, NIB for $450.
