bonkers that would not be a good day for this old boy. I try to keep 2 cords in full 18" sections ready to split and around 4 cords split and in racks in my garage. I bought an electric splitter from Home Depot probably 20 years or more ago and it has never failed me.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Stark-3400-RPM-7-Ton-15-Amp-Electrical-Horizontal-Log-Split... The one I bought is the Boss Industrial. The only problem is getting it off a stand I built for it and putting it on the floor to check the fluids. It weighs a bit over 100 lbs. Getting it down is not a real problem but getting up on that stand that is nearly 4 feet high can be a real pain. I guess I should invest in another but not really sure whether I should get another electric model or gas. Should the chit hit the fan, which would be harder to get, the electricity or the gas? Got to give that a bit more
thought.
