and basically shears or mashes to transfer more energy. I found it tears up meat on even squirrels from my ancient Remington semi-auto 550 rifle. The flat tip gets it done and does not mess up the meat near as much. Our tiny cottontails either. It feeds fine from my tube mag, ditto for my Browning BLR-22 and the Henry lever gun.
I'd not want to poke anyone with a Beretta Minx, Astra/Colt, or a NA wheelgun, in .22 Short. But you'd be lots better off with a flat tip bullet than the HP.
