I too shoot the .300 GNR and really enjoy loading for it. I have been experimenting with "swaging" HP into existing cast bullets via a core pin and using the LEE sizer to keep teh bullet and hole concentric. It seems to work fine. With some instruction and a pin special made I think anyone would manage it.

I need to refine it a bit and make some for folks to try. My first effort was .22 cast HP and they are fantastic. I did .30 cal. for the .30-30 of late but they will work in .300 GNR with faster twist than .30 Carbine (1-17.5" twist). Conventional 1-12" pr 1-10" .30 cal. twist rates. You adjust the LEE sizer body to the bullet and just tap the pin flush with the die body with a small hammer. You are just making the nose fragile against a hydro-static impact. It blows a conventional cast solid out of the water for times you want explosive impacts.
