that was about that time and was by invitation only and was promoted by all the gun magazines. It was at the Y.O. Ranch in Texas and ran thru around 2000 or so and most of the pics on here were 2002 thru 2008. Each hunter paid around $1000 to hunt and for that they got one buck and 2 does of whatever species they let us hunt that year, mostly exotic deer or sheep but once in a while it was whitetail deer. All of the meat went to the needy at Christmas. It was a rare privilege for a handgun hunter to be invited. I also feel privileged that most of the guns in these pics came out of our shop.
Taz Ridley, the head honcho of the hunt which was a charity hunt, was ticked off as the only people that were coming to the hunt were a bunch of old fat farts who got invited every year by another old fart that came to it for the free booze and to play poker every night. Kase and I donated a gun each as did some of the other gun makers and these old goats never bid on anything or bought any of the items on display. I told Taz I would help get some new blood in the hunt and invited about half the guys on here. We filled that hunt up with 55 hunters that year and at least that many for the next 4 or 5 years and came up with a lot of meat for the needy at Christmas and a lot of money for the same cause. I don't remember who all was invited but most are still on here years later. Here are some of the misfits at the hunt.
