Come to find out it was blowing side plates off the little Remington rifles! A buddy converted a Ruger 10-22 into a .17 Mach 2 with a new barrel and big heavy bolt knob. I think a rubber bump buffer too. It all went well until a cartridge case web blew. It destroyed a rotary magazine but no one was hurt. That put a damper on the fun!
