I remember chatting with someone at Sportsmans Warehouse a while back on the topic of the 45 Super et al. He knew someone who more or less battered the frame of his 1911 to death.
Currently, my wilderness gun is a Glock M40 in 10mm Auto with a Holosun optic on the MOS system. I like it but in a way like many I am always looking for the next best thing.
