But factory loaded 10mm is often only 50-100 gps faster than .40 S&W in reality. There are some exceptions, hot loaded semi-custom loads. Check out Underwood, Kase likes them. But with a purpose assembled rig with a 6” barrel (not a 4-4.5” duty auto) and special constructed hand loads it can be very formidable. A 200-220 gr. at 1300-1400 fps is easy to see. Coupled with a 15-17 round capacity and a back up mag, a guy could do worse. The relatively new SIG 320 and Taurus 10mm are worth a look if you don’t like Glock or 1911 platforms (which I personally don’t for this). The 10mm is also a fantastic round for the revolver!
