The arguments against OC remind me a WHOLE lot of the arguments the antis make against carry altogether.

They said that concealed carriers were "far more likely to be shot with their own gun". That false statement made sense to those who were fearful or genuinely ignorant of the reality of it, but the statistics clearly disprove that.

Here, back in 2013 when Alabama clarified that OC has always been legal here and laws were passed to prevent open carriers from being harassed/ charged with disturbing the peace/etc... for simply open carrying, the banshees on the Left wailed that more blood would run in the streets and children would be caught in shootouts in the toy section at WalMart.

The sky didn't fall then, either.

I'm sure that if I had never open carried (which isn't always OPEN "on display" so much as it is "carried where I can get to it without having to dig it out in an emergency" ) that I would be apprehensive about it, or if I lived/operated in a place surrounded by thugs that I would adjust for it.....but I've open carried for 12 years (everywhere that it's legal from the Gulf Coast of Alabama to Kentucky to Lincoln, NM) of my 34 years carrying ( + - )and I wouldn't operate/ live in places surrounded by thugs.

Do what works for you where YOU are, in the manner YOU are comfortable with. Best of luck to you.
