I saw your message about the 5.7 and just wanted to share my thoughts with you. I had gone back and forth for a few months about getting a 5.7 handgun. I watched all the videos about the different manufacturers, the comparisons of the 5.7 rounds to other caliber rounds, and so forth. I've always preferred to carry the larger rounds, specifically the 40, 45 or 357; however, I eventually pulled the trigger and went with the S&W MP 5.7. It is such a nice gun to shoot. I would compare the recoil to that of a 22 handgun! S&W has a gas operated/rotating barrel that really minimizes any recoil and the trigger reset is really great. With a fully loaded gun and a spare mag, I can carry 45 rounds on me. I was hesitant to drop to a smaller caliber round, although higher velocity; but in the end I don't have buyers remorse and it's a beautifully designed handgun.
