Is about 30 yrs. old. Arsenic treated boards. The entire 65ft. On one side, 8 ft. Then a big 25x25 area, three sets of steps. All this treated wood. Every year I pressure wash it and spray about 20 gal. of oil base Thompson’s water seal on it. Costs me a couple afternoons and $400 materials. No way can I afford to replace it if it rots! It’s a major feature to the cottage. If it was “yella-wood” treated with formaldehyde, I’d be screwed.
After the rough winter. I think I might have washed and begun on the far steps in the pic. Behind the grill. I go and stay there a couple night a week. Let the crack heads across the creek 300 yds, see a presence. I’m thinking about putting a 8’ metal roof over the length against the house. I can probably manage that myself. If I can figure a way to get enough pitch angle.
