Only pictures. I was told that the jackrabbits in the west were decimated by a disease and the populations are low. I don't know if that is true for entire west or not.
Back in the 1960's there were jackrabbits everywhere. I drove from Arizona to Washington State in '66 and going through Nevada there were thousands of them. At night the roadsides were thick with them, feeding on the grass.
