I have never owned a shooting instrument so "toolish" but functional and fun by virtue of all the aftermarket crap available. Where it abounds for the 1911 also, it is usually in the form of nice parts requiring fine skilled fitting, not drop in universal hunks a child could install.
But by golly it works!
