Shot a few in the dim weather.

Needed to get out really bad. Mauled by the calf at first then the dim lighting, cool weather, all hampered the fun a little. Doug came up with this Birchwood Casey shooting rests. We have destroyed about all of them with revolver flash. Duct tape layers are the only saving thing I know of. We also need versatile rests too, non-rusting a bonus. These are some type of rubbery poly material, not just a coating, and fit one inside the other for storage. We need them to work with single shot handguns, revolvers, rifles, AK's and AR's etc., a tall order.

The cheap dot sight worked well on the .41 Mag. and adjustments tracked as advertised, repeated. In dim light the red was more crisp than the glaring green. I'm still not used to covering the target with a dot. I don't like it, want to see where the bullet will land, 6-O'clock hold style. Still playing with it. I think they were a bargain for sure.

The wheel gun try out was positive. I used the taller one for better support and found it pretty stable and useful. The cylinder did not come back at me (some do) and the surface did not seem to be damaged, just a little colored. They were marked over $20 but surely were on sale. I think they will do for a while. I like the grippy surface more than the slick plastic type.
