Thankfully, save for some playing around

That type of action is self limiting. I have been surprised how well some standard barrel twists are able to spin bullets overly long and still hit point on. Even though, the prolonged recoil and barrel residence time makes the point of impact wildly beyond any mechanical limits of the adjustable sights.

How do they compensate for 18" high at 25 yds.? I can only guess it's all macho and showing off rather than seeking useable higher performance.

I would like some for my .440 GNR on the .50 AK case! But even that is overkill for anything other than defense against bears in the alders. I used, to George's bemusement, paper patched 400/.416 at 1800 fps. AND my .510 five-gun. It felt as good as I could make it.
