$50 Raven .25 beats $400 S&W 9mm! Such was dramatization back then. The little .25 went bang every time and the S&W M59 had some teething issues. The magazine went with the story and sold a bunch of copies. The little guns are "pot metal" zinc alloy and very simple striker fired, blow back. Overbuilt to a degree as Bro. Jim demonstrated. How can one really overload that tiny .25 ACP anyway?!
They always worked and had sights good enough to see. Make a fantastic "throw gun" to boot.
I remember some guys were necking the .25 ACP down to .17 and even .14 and .15 cal. Shooting pieces of wire!!!

Sounds fun, problems are magnified as size diminishes though (nm)
