I liked the Magpul furniture but it was so high. So I bought a set in Hunter Orange at a great discount. I could paint it any color I wanted for $5 anyway. I like the goofy orange, I can find it in the closet easier.

It's an old Doug cast off but has a messed up blued 21" barrel with a vent rib and added fiber green sight. Someone added Colonial (by Brownells) chokes that is sort of nice. Too nice just to get rid of it. With the odd length I found that a (4) shot tube extension will about be about flush with the barrel end. That'd be a (9) shot total capacity, Choate down the road makes them in 2,3,4,5 whatever increments you need. I thought about one of those polymer side shell holders but as you mentioned it effects handling.

Roman excitedly took this picture when the stuff came in. He always has the stuff installed before I get home to see it! It's nice we get to share the fun.

I think I'll go long on the mag tube and get a side mounted sling, maybe a useful side picatinny flashlight mount and call it done. The old rig has a mix of parts but is a 3", I might give it a shake and bake paint job.

I concur, the box mag is a mistake on some applications, the pump shotgun is one in my view. Maybe for specific competition but then it's not good for anything else. Many of the younger generation are visually driven and if it "looks bad" it has to "be" bad ass right?! They have a lot to learn.
