I was on a Jury Pool a couple years ago. During the questioning of the potential jurors the judge asked who, in the jury pool, recognized the names of the deputies and dispatchers that might be called as witnesses. He asked us to raise our numbered cards whenever we heard a name of someone we knew.... names were called, I raised my card... when the judge finally finished with the names he commented that I had set a record in his court with knowing ALL of the participants other than the accused...
Not surprising since I've volunteered with the local Sheriff's Office for over 13 years... I was NOT called for juror duty....
