But that is an unlikely idea. The 9mm case is quite tapered. Upon firing it will blow the case walls straight to .38/.357 dimensions. The bullet has a long way to go to hit the rifling too. The main problem with the cases blowing out is the chance for blow back (the case will not seal the chamber and gases come around the brass) or splitting. New brass would likely not split but still not a real good idea.

There is a company that specializes in full moon clip alterations but they actually fit them to .38/.357 cases and not 9mm. That is actually a different chamber altogether. I have and shoot a 9mm cylindered .357 Blackhawk, the SA has a much easier time. For some unexplained reason it works wonderfully. I can shoot $9 a box ammo.
