38 specials. We do have one in the bathroom as well. There is no where in the house where you are more vulnerable. Many don't even have a window to supply sufficient retreat. You have to make a stand. Even one stashed near both doors in case I remember at the last moment that I might need it. As well as here and there in other parts of the home.
Something else I have done is make a list of all stash guns and where they are! If ever I have guests I can pick them up. But that hasn't happened in years. A 20 ha with buck for wife and my 12ga round it all out. Oh yeah my 357 marlin is handy too!
