there is always a wind out here, not quite as bad as Wyoming, but lightweight bullets are useless. The same goes for a 50 grain bullet. You need 60 or a bit better to buck the wind and even then quite often I had to hold one dog to the side (2") to hit the one I was aiming at, sometimes even 2 dogs to one side if the wind was really moving. A Prairie Dog is about the size of an old fashioned Coke bottle. A 30 grain bullet would be as useful as tits on a chicken out here.
