It's been a few years since I bought memory cards, mine are SanDisk Extreme III, SD HC. Try Googling something like Best Memory Card for high speed photography and that should have current best. One thing I do remember was the experts' advice against using very high capacity cards because they jam too much data and that could reduce picture quality. They recommended using several smaller capacity cards instead.

Camera probably has a user selectable setting for the quality of pictures you want to take. Higher quality will be sharper but will use up more memory so you'll have fewer pictures on the card. I always set mine on highest quality. Of course, that also means that you can't really email those pictures because email programs often have size limitations, unless you reduce them in size on your computer before emailing.
