the beefed up 29s and 629s have a small strip in the side

of the frame just back of the cylinder and below the cylinder latch. BUT it is still an N frame S&W and beefed up or not it is not intended for loads that you would feed a Super Blackhawk. I would still stay with the bullets under 300 grains and would stay mostly with the loads you have been using. The gun will live a lot longer and it would be a shame to ruin a classic model 29. I have 4 of them, from the 3" up to the 10" silhouette model. I wouldn't think of running hot loads thru any of them. Remember Al Goerg took everything up to Brown Bear with his Model 29s and used mostly 240 grain bullets to do so.
