I've always heard the N frame was at its limit with .44 Magnum factory loads, but weren't the original .44 loads quite a bit hotter than what we have today? Like the old Norma's that Robert Petersen used on everything. I've never shot anything hot other than modern factory loads in the .44's I've owned and I've never had a problem. The only N frame I have now is an early 57 4 inch. I can't see the model 69 lasting over the long haul though.
