. . .in the Old West shooting stuff, an early proponent of "Cowboy shooting" and "Mounted shooting". Dressed up like a "genuine cowboy" and apparently was one of the guys who "taught real cowboy shooting" to various movie stars. Was at one time considered an "expert" on nineteenth century weaponry and gear.

Unfortunately, he came to like to listen to himself talk and began to like his own writings better than anyone else's.
