He actually killed it illegally, out of necessity, during the war. Providing badly needed food for his family. Illegal but justifiable to me at least. Statute of limitations long past anyway. He shot it with a 4" S&W M&P in .32-20 using, no doubt, the 115 gr. LFP at 750 fps. An impressive feat to ponder today. Skill and luck collided that day.
