The packages are more expensive but the value is far greater too. For a little more you can get a custom gripframe change, custom barrel with throating, porting, and crowning. A mew front sight (some packages), custom barrel length choice. On and on depending on what package you choose. Even a large caliber change or 5,7, 8-shot conversions.

Check out the total packages against the select features you desire to change, it might be a better deal to go all in. Like Mr. Taffin says, in a year you will not miss that extra money.
