I have seen similar situations. Sometimes it is best to just display a few rifles and then let them ask questions. Also give some advantages and disadvantages of each one like what type of game it is used to hunt, etc.

Then there are the situations like I need a muzzle loader. OK which one? Then they get into you need a bag, powder horn, sling, and on and on. The person sees nothing but addition dollars which turns him off and out the door he goes without a purchase.
