For a while people who hunted made the comment ," I harvested a deer last weekend" rather than " I hunted and shot a deer last weekend."

You are right. We cannot back down and we need to promote all of the shooting sports in a positive light because the mouthpieces of the far left known as the major media outlets are definitely painting a negative picture.
