In Africa there is always something stalking them and trying to eat them so they are a lot more spooky. From the time the PH tells you to take the animal, you may have 5 to 8 seconds.

Also dump the Barnes TTSX bullets. Go with a bonded lead core bullet. This is Africa you will be hunting in. The Barnes bullets work sometimes but you want a good bullet that will work all the time and a bonded lead core bullet is the only one that will do that. I have watched guys use fragile hollow point bullets and bullets like the TTSX bullet and wound animals due to the bullet being way too fragile and breaking up on the hide or shoulder bone of an animal. You want something that is tough and break the animal down. Always go for a point of shoulder shot. Forget the old heart shot. That is used only in fairy tales. Aiming for the point of shoulder, if you shoot low you will still break his front leg and probably send splinters into the lungs. If you hit a bit high you hit the spine. Either way is good. And don't worry about a 1" group. You are hunting animals bigger and hardier than a whitetail deer. If you can keep it in 2 to 3" at 100 that is fine.
