shoulder and neck area resulted in quick kills on the 2017 trip using the 41GNR#2 G2 carbine with 240gr. hard LBT's from Montana Bullet Works and 265gr. JFP in the 445SM carbine. The wife and I had most shots under 125yds., several on larger animals (B. Wildebeest, Gemsbok, R. Hartebeest) were 50-60yds. with 1-shot kills. I shot a big old male Ostrich at 100yrds. with the 41GNR#2 that spun once and flopped, PH said they are not an easy kill.

Went to the skinning shed and saw the effect of the bone fragments acting like shrapnel in the chest cavity, heart/lungs were big blood clots. Large caliber on bone is a killer.
