and I think the 44 mag was the least liked of them all. The buyers of the Vaquero were cowboy shooters and they didn't want the 44 Magnum. And handgun hunters weren't interested due to no sights. So they were real hard to sell. Now as a special edition the 44 Magnum Vaquero is back and everybody is drooling over it. The cowboy action shooting has about run it's gamut as the head honchos have instilled so many rules and regulations and regulated it to death to where it isn't family fun anymore. So I guess now is the time to bring the 44 Magnum Vaquero back out. Maybe.
